I was very naughty when I backed a welsh sec D that I bought from the sales unbacked. I had got to the stage where he was lunging with tack on. One day, whilst on my own lunging him in the field, I just got on him. I just felt he would be fine,luckily he was as I had no hat on and inapproriate footwear! Fool!
the second stupid thing was , we went SJ and it finished really late. whilst at the show we bought a pony and when we got back we had to go up the field to bring in another to keep it company. So we selected a cob ( they are school horses), put the headcollar on and we both got on her together and rode her bareback, 2 onboard with no hats on in the dark- it was about midnight!!
Third stupid thing- when I was a helper in the local riding school me and my friend used to go and see the ponies in the field. One day we had the bright idea of taking some baling twine with us, we put said twice around a ponies neck and hopped on board! Had a lovely time until we were caught and were in BIG trouble! I now run the riding school so was forgiven!
