Your stable-cam pics

I thought this would be a fun thread! Having recently bought a stable cam I’m obsessed and admit to waking up pretty much every hour of the night to see what Rocky’s up to…

I was surprised by how much time he spent eating in the stable rather than sleeping. I’ve yet to see him lie down!



Would love to see everyone else’s as it’s so interesting to see what they get up to when no one is around!

Makes me laugh though as she has a huge bed but often chooses to sleep on the floor and use a wooden sleeper as a pillow?

I’d love to have a stable cam! I had an outdoor wildlife camera set up in their yard (to monitor if they were being fed by passers by at that time mainly)
It was funny that my gelding was fascinated by the red night light beam…which we can’t see, but they evidently can. I had pics upon pics of him standing staring at the camera as it was motion sensor so he was triggering the red beam which constantly caught his attention

I didn't have a stable cam for long as it was loaned to me for a very specific purpose (which it didn't get to do because *someone* couldn't wait til I got home to bring her in). But it did give me some nice shots while it was up.

However I am regularly sent pictures like this from the early arrivals at the yard, usually with the message 'we checked, he's still breathing!' or 'he's snoring, what have you been doing to the poor boy!'

. Not quite sure what that is - it’s on the video clip. I can’t decide if he’s wearing a turnout rug and it’s a reflective strip. Very odd!

It looks like the reflective strip on a tail flap.

I'd love one but would become obsessed! The yard already has cameras linked to the YOs house thankfully.

A friend recently spotted on her camera that her horse had his hoof in the haynet and his rug was attached to the net...she rang the livery owners to tell them and raced down herself to sort it. Just as well she spotted it or he could have been like that for hours, lost both front shoes in the process!

Both using the field shelter this evening which is reassuring as it’s meant to rain a lot tonight. I’ve put some hay in and they have been in and out all evening.
