1 x in at night from around 5-6pm till about 6 or 7am, clipped, in rugs 24/7
1 x out all day with no1, but into small paddock with shelter & hay overnight, but can be shut in if weather really wet & disgusting. Trace clipped, no rugs.
Mine is currently stabled overnight from 2pm weekdays and from 5pm weekends. He's normally turned out about 9am.
This is the rule of the livery yard he lives at whilst he's up here (I'm at uni). Otherwise he would be out 24/7 as he normally is all year round at home.
I don't have enough stables anyway, and I certainly do not have the inclination to clean out 24 horses a day! It would be like the proverbial painting the Forth Bridge, just get the last one done then time to bring in again - sod that for a game of soldiers I have better things to do with my day.
In at night, as she has asked to come in. Yard offers 24/7 but we've no grass this winter and can't put hay out so she wants to be in to eat. If we had more grass she'd be out.
It depends on whether or not I am working all day, if I am and the weather is bad they are in at night and out all day. If I'm not working they are in for most of the day and out at night. They really don't seem to mind as long as they can come into their stables and scoff decent haylage for hours on end!
Haha Enfy's!! I wouldn't want to paint the forth road bridge either, takes long enough to drive across! (I'm scared of heights, hence riding a 14hh haha)
out at 6 in morning in around 5 in evening but prefer out 24/7 - totally naked with no rugs whatever weather and well in words of vet "she blooms health" woo hooo
Ours are in overnight - weekdays out at 6.45am and in around 4.30pm (they are not left until about 7pm tho) and weekends out at about 11am and in about same time x
Mine is out from about 8.30am til 5pm then usually gets ridden, then stabled for the night with a hard feed for tea I feel much better knowing she's in a nice warm stable with a nice bed and hay than out in a field during the night!
Horses in work are stabled 24/7 with turn out on a Saturday p.m. and Sunday.
I do not turn them out during the week because they get well exercised and just get so filthy in the fields and after rolling just want to come back in!
My mare goes out about 7 on weekdays and comes in for the night about 4-5 and on weekends goes out about 8-9 and comes in about 3.30-4 ish. She's rugged up and clipped.
ours are all fed at 8am and booted out as soon as their feed bowls are licked clean, they then come in 3/4pm depending on weather, some of them will occasionally come in earlier if they're just stood causing trouble round the gate, my section d will stand and kick the gate when he's had enough of being out, he's the biggest wuss of a native i know, have a battle every morning just to get him to get his feet off the concrete and into the mud,
2 are out 24/7, just come in to be groomed, ridden, fed and then out again They are very happy with the arrangement. This time last year my stressy TB was stabled and he was a nightmare, kept throwing me off! Different horse this year, so chilled out, he's defo an outdoor pony.
Other one is kept in the paddock, stone area and open loosebox, shut in a night, as is transitioning to BF at the mo! He doesnt seem too fussed, quite happy just mooching about
Clipped cob stabled 3.30pm - 8.30am. Hard feed for tea & snuggled up in his stable rug & neck cover with a big net of hay. Chucked out in morning in a heavy weight with neck, no hay in field unless it's frozen as still have tons of good grass xx
