3 weeks ago my horse had stem cells injected into a core lesion in his SDFT. He spent the first 5 days after this on box rest and then after discussions with the vet it was decided that to help another problem he needs to go onto very restricted turnout (he has had a snotty nose from one nostril, scope and xrays have shown nothing so it has been put down to COPD....although if you ask me its got worse since t/o)

Any way to begin with the turnout was fine, sedation wasnt really needed and he was happy and settled down easily. However this last week or so has been a nightmare - he wont settle in the field despite having horses all around him, sedation isnt really helping and even if it does as soon as he 'wakes up' he is at it again. Im pulling my hair out with stress as he needs the turnout but also needs to stay stillish!!

Alcohol, Cookies and cake if you get this far!!!...Any suggestions

spooking at everthing, prancing about, pawing at the ground! He tries to kill small ponies so thats abit of a no!! the paddock is only about 15 X 15 (if that!) I think thats what im going to do, just wondering if anyone had any suggestions....im clutching at straws!
