My friend had a filly by him which she sold at 10 months for a considerable sum, (well I thought it was but I know nothing!) and they've used him again. Dam line was Catherston... 16.1hh 17yrs by Dutch Courage, Dams line Amber Rama and Relko (does that make any sense)
She really liked him.

I've no idea about trainability or manners etc as it was sold so early and I don't know where it went. Must have been ok at the least for them to use him again.

I have a 2 year old bay filly by Rubin Star N out of a Donnerhall x Pik Bube I mare. I bought the mare as a weanling straight from Romanno Stud. Shes a big mare stands at 16.1 as a 2 year old - got the highest dressage marks at The Grange BEF evaluations last year (for yearlings)and has won every county show in hand class that she has been in (Devon County and Royal Bath & West both in 2007). I am thrilled with her. I have 'met' Rubin in the stable and was very impressed. PM me if you want anymore info.

I have met Rubin and he's a truly lovely boy. He throws lovely foals - theres a yearling for sale by him on the Scottish Equestrian website www.scotequest.com in the youngstock section. Best bet would be to speak to Jennifer Gilchrist at the stud directly and she can give you all the info you need.

My mare was AI'd on sat to Rubin Star. A friend had a filly by him 2 years ago out of a tb mare. The foal had the most amazing nature, so laid back and sweet. I have another friend who has used him 3 times on the same grade A SJ mare, and she was delighted with the foals, all had lovely easy going temps.
