Your thoughts on this horse?

Nice enough, and although I know nothing about showing (which I think the ad is aimed at?) I don't think its worth that much without a comp record. Most I would pay is £2500-3000 for a 7yo with no comp record I don't think.

I do like him, but just not for that much :)

My initial reaction is that those pictures dont do any favours for the poor horse, and they will be very lucky to get any interest at that price using them!

It doesnt appear (to me) to be particularly well schooled, as it seems to be leaning a fair bit.

I am surprised, if it has such a clean jump, that there isnt a picture of it jumping....

It looks quite sweet, but I would have thought more in the £2k range than the £4k.....

If your friend is looking to spend around that amount... they could get a lot more for their money... nothing about that horse would inspire me to go and look at it... just my opinion of course...

Very nice type! I would be expecting a lot when I went to see it though, for that sort of money! Doesn't everything that is backed in Ireland have a light mouth and hunting experience? :D

its alot of money for a horse that still looks like it needs alot of work, and it doesn't jump out as being particularly smart either, (but then its not my kind of horse TBH)

i'm sure you could get much more for your money

Thanks, that was much my feeling. I think in the current market she could get an awful lot more for her money.

Can anyone suggest any nice youngsters around the 3k mark in the midlands?

Another one who agrees the pictures are poor - he actually looks like a nice pony. I can not understand anyone who puts up poor pictures where the horse is filthy or really poorly turned out. Cos the first thing that crosses my mind is if they can't be bothered to make an effort when trying to extract money for their animal, are they bothered about actually caring for it properly in the first place! and if he supposed to be aimed at showing, then even more reason to have a picture of him turned out properly. But agree - too much money for a green 7 year old.

Wonder which horse they are actually selling - cos they are showing pictures of two different ones.

Anyway - way over priced.

I wonder which part of it is arab? They (both?) look like nice enough horses but yeah seems a bit overpriced from the pics, although could be super in the flesh.

I'd rather have him at the price they paid for him when he came over from Ireland :D

Nice little type though, but too expensive.

I'd actually want to go see him, try him out a few times and make an offer (even if he does need a lot of work) but then it depends on what your friend is wanting and how much experiance they have.

I wouldnt write him off just beacuse of the pictures, not everybody has great camera skills/decent camera or particually good at 'selling a horse'on an advert etc, doesnt mean its not worth a look and you can always be cheeky by making an offer. :)
