No. The correction should have been done as a very young foal, and even then not always successful.
Adorable Alice had a boxed front hoof which showed itself at about 10 weeks, specialist farrier trimmed her every 10/14 days throughout her first year. I had to do stretching exercises with her hoof/pastern. She is now trimmed every 4 weeks without fail and no one would ever know she has had a problem.
Back to the OP's question. If the horse is sound you may just have found yourself a bargain schoolmaster. He won't be for sale for long.
I do like a bit of vicarious horse buying! Like the look of him and looks like a private seller which should mean you can get more history/photos to show what he's done. Look forward to your update!

Update, went to view him, he was like a very fine tb!
Looked like he was going to snap if I sat on him!
So I didn't, didn't want tvo waste her time.
She understood.
