I love connemaras :).
I learn to ride on one named Danny Boy when I was much younger. He was the most beautiful pony but thinking back I'm pretty sure that he hated me :P. Glad to have had the opportunity to ride him though - otherwise I might not be where I am today :)

Love them - tho old boy (horse of a lifetime) was a Connie with a wee bit of TB and new boy is purebred Connie - who'd call me biased?

Isn't there someone on here with a sig that talks about how they got one and 'will never go back to the dark side'?!

oohhh not posted for a while but I had to comment on this one!

My boy is overgrown full bred connie.... love his character. He is very cheeky. Fab to jump and hack can even pull off a decent dressage test :D
Buttttt he is also a 'ticking time bomb' never know which side your going to get when ridden... confident will do anything or OMG the world may eat me!

My 10 year old cousin started riding just over a year ago on a welsh pony, she grew out of her very quickly & now has a 15'1 10 yo conny mare on loan & oh my goodness what a fabulous horsey she is! She is an absolute dream, never puts a foot wrong & they got two firsts in their beginners show jumping show a few weeks back. She hacks her about, rides in the school, went for her first gallop a few weeks ago & she is just fab, a real confidence giver.
Love the conny even though im a tb girl! lol

I have a connie x tb - best hunting pony I have ever sat on and hasn't hit a jump in 5 seasons (touching wood!) - totally irreplacable.
