i have been at work all day so missed the xc. just looked at the results and it has said that she retired both of hers on xc? is this true? what happened?? she was a favourite to win

I think there is something in competition riders about it - Toytown lost a shoe or something so he was retired - don't know about the other one.

Ardfield Magic Star was pulled up lame, not sure about Toytown 'cos BBC pulled the plug on Freeview at 3.45

Toytown left a knee at one fence (sunken road I think?) she opted not to go for the longer route and kicked on for the next part, he half jumped half ran out, and she retired him.

Toytown came into a fence on the wrong stride having hit the one before pretty hard and clambered all over it and off to the side, pulling a shoe off and nearly chucking Zara off - marked up as a refusal btw. She decided to retire him instead of carrying on. AMS was pulled up lame about halfway round the course. Shame really as both were going pretty strong up til the retirement points

She hit the 1st part hard and they were all over the 2nd part. They were both lucky to walk away from that...
