Zara Philips - good for the sport?

My cousin is Prince Charles' valet also Prince William and Harry's when they are around too. He knows Zara and says she is really down to earth and a really nice woman. I think she's great and I dont agree that she's had everything handed to her. She's worked to get to her status but I think it must be easier for her to get to that level bearing in mind who her parents are and the money she has behind her.

Me who comes from a non horsey and not very rich family would struggle harder to get started. But i'm sure most top level riders come from horsey families and probably have money.

Agree with Tricksy that she knew her boy had a problem by then and found herself pushed into a corner. Bit puzzled though by the complete silence on what he's done to himself.
Why the mystery?

The girl can ride. She has a horse that used to be ridden by my YOs daughter and believe me this horse doesn't suffer fools and would kill someone who didn't know what they were doing!

To whoever said she will never have to work - totally disagree. She DOES work, she events professionally and if she hadn't done that then she would, I have absolutely no doubt, carried through her uni qualifications. Princess Anne and Mark Phillips made their decision when the children were born NOT to give them titles and they are not given anything by the State. Of course it doesn't hurt to have her parents and her Granny, but sponsors get bored if their rider isn't performing and I think she has proved herself many times over.

I like Zara, I wish her all the best, she is a great ambassador for the Equine world.
