I'm not sure of the current 'value' of a zebra - some wild animals are very expensive (when traded between zoos and wildlife parks) and others can be hardly given away. Female giraffes are VERY expensive!:D

But the important thing the ad doesn't mention is that it is illegal (under the Dangerous Wild Animals Act 1976) to keep zebras (and most other 'wild' animals - even if they're 'tame' wild animals) unless you are licensed by your local autority and have jumped through at least a hundred hoops! Premises must be inspected by a veterinary surgeon etc etc. and the cost can be quite hefty.

Neither Local Authorities (nor veterinary surgeons) LIKE giving out these licenses.
