We had an early start yesterday as my friend was doing the class before. We arrived at 8.30 to walk the course and our time wasn't until 12.04!! Luckily Zoomy is very good about being on the lorry so she had a snooze while I watched my friend going round. We did the 70cm course which we have done once before.

She was FAB!!!!! :D I literally just steered and she did everything else. It was a great feeling since she can sometimes be a bit backwards at the beginning but as soon as the buzzer went she flew! She was really looking for the next fence. I was much better at keeping my speed up since we were 75 seconds too slow last time. Unfortunately, half way round we caught up with the person in front :( I didn't know what to do so I just stayed behind which slowed us down a bit but when they announced the results we were 31 seconds too slow but had come 8th out of 36 and got a rosette!!!! Our first one :D :D :D

Next time I will make an attempt to pass since it turns out that is the etiquette and then we will hopefully climb up the placings.

Pro photo, I am pleased since I was trying to look up since I'm terrible for staring at the floor (click for more):

Zoomy with her rosette (excuse the afro.....must get the pulling comb out!):

I also think my rigorous feeding regime is paying off..........She was looking really ropey after the loss of Monty and the long winter but she is finally picking up now. Yesterday (bear in mind she is a bit sweaty and tucked up as she had just stepped off the lorry after a hunter trial!)

Yeah she looks loads better, the gass is coming so she'll look even better soon!! I love Zoom, she's a right little cracker!! :)

Also well done for getting a rosette, your so brave jumping I'd be going the in the opp diraction!!!

The photos of you jumping are really really good, really clear and from a fab angle. I bet you are really pleased with them.

Well done for your first rosette. Looks like you had a wonderfull day!

I see an improvement :D:D:D

Hurrah!! :D It has literally been keeping me up at night with worry :( I'm hoping it's onwards and upwards now.

Thanks for the comments....We now have two good clears at this level but the 80cm is just too big a step up at the moment. I think we're gonna do one more at 70cm before we give the bigger class a go.

Love my pony :D

I dont blame you, its really nice to have some pro photos. I know when i start taking my horse out to events i will be a complete sucker for buying ALL of the pro photos!
The other half has an amazing camera......i just need to persuade him that spending a day at a horsey event is a fab way of making use of it!

Yay for Zoomy she was soooo good and you too :)
So pleased she got placed and she looks good, all shiny and fit in her photo and clean unlike Teddy who is yellow lol!! Well done :)

Go Zoomy! I've put some piccies of you on facebook if you want to have a butchers :)

I was just looking at them :D I didn't realise you had caught Charlotte's fall on camera. OUCH! :( She seemed fine afterwards but I bet she's sore today. Alot of people had problems with that fence!

I know I didn't see it happening as I was holding the camera, but Tan said she kinda slid off, luckily she wasn't launched lol, but most of the horses were refusing at that log, they just did not like it :(
