i have a knight rider on a welsh pony,was second hand when i got it and its done 2 winters with me and still going strong, good fit on mine but like all rugs they don't suit all types :)
i've got one for my cob with sweet itch. she has an xl and usually wears 6'3 rugs. easy to put on once you've done it a few times but wouldn't fancy putting it on if horse was even slightly head shy as you have to put it over head. definately need to use it with the head piece if for sweet...
global herbs supercalm works with ours. they do istant in little sachets so you can try before buying a big tub. time consuming but taking other horse away for short time and then increasing length of time each day helped ours too.

Could it be a problem with his teeth? Even if he seems to be eating fine he might not be chewing properly so not getting all the goodness fro hay etc. Mine are all fatties so i have the opposite problem ☺

Not 100% sure but I remember reading somewhere that if it has a label there is a model number on there and you can phone thorowgood and they'll tell you which model it is.
