Same. Thought that some of the story lines were rushed, for example the farm girl only has them for one night!! I'm sure in the book that it's a bit more involved. I enjoyed the film but wasn't blown away. I do want to read the book though.

Thanks for the info everyone. Have just spoken to the donkey sanctuary and they will visit and offer help to the owners with some of the issues above. They said the stringhalt type thing is a common arthritic thing with old donkeys but he may just need a little bit of painkillers. Thanks...
