Thank you for advice and good wishes.. The contractors involved are insured through the NFU, who have already told us it is a clear case of negliglance. Gutted over the whole thing and all the money in the world will never replace him, he is my best friend and even if he will never be 100% sound...

furry ears.. we live on a farm, there where contractors here working for the electric board cutting down trees.. they left the chipper in the field while they went off and had their luch. We didnt even know that they were there, they didnt tell us they were comming and even when thay saw harry...

We thought he was going to make a full recovery but it seems now thats going to be very unlikey. Vet says we should claim for the full value of him.. this is how the contractors left him after leaving machinery in the field with him unattended.. we think he has tried to jump over the draw...

the vet says it will be treatable but he is unlikely to make a full recovery. He said best case would be that I could maybe hack him. there will always be a stiffness in the joint. he is 16.1, well marked couloured gelding.

our neighbours had a horse that was a nightmare to clip and they use sedalin.. works really well, you can get it from the vet and use it about 30 mins before clipping. Or if you dont want to use something as strong try naf instant magic..
