I do part-breds and i do it unplaited with a plain brow-band i also wear a hacking jacket and most people wear long boots for M&M'S. I don't really think it matters what colour tack you use for the classes just which ever colour suits him best hope this helps

I'v been watching that aswell I think they all are a little over the top with the amount of rein they give but then as the jumps are so big and wide i suppose they need to give with the reins alot more than we do going over the much smaller jumps also i think they give the reins to keep them...
