    Hacking in Norfolk/Holkham beach

Hi all, I'm going to Norfolk for the weekend and wanted to do some hacking - does anyone know anywhere? I would love to do a beach gallop on Holkham beach but I can't find anywhere that does it. Any suggestions gratefully received! Thanks

X rays with 5 stage vetting

I would definitely get x rays done. I had a polo pony vetted and it passed the 5 stage vetting with flying colours then the x rays showed a number of problems! My x rays were more expensive (£400ish for the x rays alone I think on top of vetting) but it's saved me thousands of pounds worth of...

    Horseware Fleece Jackets

They come up very big! I've got one in something silly like XXS and it is still big! Although having said that the one I have is unisex so I think that is one reason why it is so big. They might not come up so big in a woman's version.

    Falling off lessons

The British Racing School does a half day course if that's any good... http://www.brs.org.uk/Courses/Jockey_Courses/fall_training_course/

    Advice please - horse napping

My horse was nappy when I first got her as I don't think she'd been ridden out alone before. She was fine hacking out with other horses but was very nappy when I was riding out alone - spinning and trotting back the way we had come. She was much better in hand than ridden so I took her out...

have 5 stage vet cert but within year horse blind - HELP

Sorry to hear this - sounds awful :( I think leonh is right - the question is whether it is likely that the blindness has been there for some time and therefore whether it was there when you bought her. If you can't prove that, then I think it is very difficult to sue on a vetting as it is all...

    Burningfold Polo Auction

Bad news - the auction's off! If you go to the burningfold home page it says the auction isn't on due to lack of interest from vendors. But it says they still have some ponies for sale so could be worth ringing up if you're interested.

DIY / grass livery in the Epsom area

http://www.thedurdansliverystables.co.uk/ Use of the school isn't included in DIY/assisted but it says on the livery page it can be arranged for an extra fee. Lovely facilities and direct off road access to the downs for excellent hacking!

    OMG horse insurance for Polocrosse.

It depends what you want to insure for - I've just insured my polo pony and could only find 2 places that would insure for loss of use (NFU and Weatherbys) - everywhere else would only insure for vets fees and mortality... I don't know if you would have similar problems for polocrosse. The...

    Insurance

I've got mine with Lycetts - I got quotes from about 10 companies and they were by far the cheapest.

    Learning to play polo

The HPA has a map of all the polo clubs in the UK: http://www.hpa-polo.co.uk/clubsdetails/index.asp so it looks like the nearest 2 to you would be Chester Racecourse or Cheshire: www.cheshirepoloclub.com www.chester-races.co.uk hope that helps!

    Landrover Freelander

I bought a second hand freelander a year ago and I was told to avoid petrol (get diesel instead) - I think petrol does about 20 miles to the gallon and diesel does about 32. And don't get a 1.8 as apparently those are the ones that break! I think those are the 2 main things... good luck!
