I have 2 mobile shelters, on metal skids so they really are mobile (I wouldn't trust the ones on wooden skids to survive being towed about).
No PP, no complaints ever from neighbours/council, the horses love them
Just enter some local shows; judges are generally helpful, and will give advice as to which classes would best suit your horse. Even if you're in the 'wrong' class, it's all experience for your mare
I wouldn't fancy it, as the pony will have nothing to lean against, not just going down the hill but also during any acceleration/deceleration.
Is there any reason why you can't hack there?
I immediately thought of Jenny Joseph's poem 'When I am old I shall wear purple, with a red hat that doesn't go',
Easily done, with random purple stuff from charity shops, and a red hat silk
Last is good, then you can make sure you don't get overtaken at all.
Going with a friend on a sensible horse who can nanny you is a big help too.
Hope it goes well
I think he is Dr May. He is an astrophysicist, among other things. But that, and belonging to a cool band, shouldn't add any weight to his opinions on animal rights
