Don't know about the horse supplements but they are a well established name in the cattle supplement market so I would imagine their horse supplements will be pretty good too
The now very elderly chap that I used to help break ponies/horses many years ago always singed the horses cat hairs and did their faces/chins with a candle! Never had an upset or worried horse and made a perfect job.
FBTs can take all sorts of forms - suggest you contact a local land agent who will tell you if it is possible or not. They shouldn't charge you too much just for a bit of advice!
Hmmm interesting theory except one of ours will not travel forwards but goes to sleep travelling backwards....perhaps it is a case of the exception proving the rule but anymore thoughts most welcome.
Dear pootler - new horse so am working slightly in the dark - seller said she was a good traveller and the transporter who brought her here said she travelled well so was just wondering whether it was the backwards thing that was upsetting her - she seems to put her hindquarters underneath her...
To all who have a backwards travelling horsebox - have you ever found a horse that doesn't like it?
New mare thumps about and actually pulled a shoe off which resulted in a punctured sole (now sorted hopefully) Before we try again just wanted to know whether others had experienced problems as...
Thanks guys - must say I prefer bandages but had gone 'modern' perhaps just stick to them for Miss Fidget. Have bought a travel mirror so hopefully that will help - don't know if she has ever travelled by herself before she came to us.
Looking for recommendations for travel boots/wraps - have a mare who tends to dance about a bit when bored and pull shoes off - not frightened of travelling just gets restless after a while - looking for protective travel boots that stay put otherwise we are back to good old gamgee and bandages...
try Coligone website for information www.coligone.co.uk or PM H's Mum - she will be able to tell you if your horse is a good candidate to try it - she is very helpful - worth a try!
Aren't they just brilliant pics! The smile on your face should be used as an ad for BE!!!! My teenage daughter always has her mouth wide open (apparently concentrating when she does that...) but it does cause considerable amusement when the pics come through later. So good to see you enjoying...
We are in a similar position as mare danced about in the horsebox , half pulled the shoe off which resulted in her getting a puncture from a nail. The vet has put her on antibiotics and am wrapping the poulticed foot up with vetwrap,a sock then duct tape then bandage and plastic so that she can...
I have to say I do agree with you - my daughter is a teenager and is contantly taunted by schoolfriends who say oooooooeeeeePooony Club!! Maybe time PC HQ had a referendum amongst its members and came up with a new name although I think your suggestion is pretty good!
