    Tack room floor

    What do folks have on their tack room floors ie tiles, wood, bare concrete etc etc. I'm just building a new block of stables and tack room which are on concrete but wasn't sure if I should leave it bare. Any thoughts/ideas

    Looking to get a manege built and I've had one quote so far which I think is astronomical. Does anybody have any good recommendations for a good job with a reasonable price. I don't expect cheap but I'm not paying the earth either!

    Horses needs aren't being taken care of - you yourself have said "17 hours without forage" Lots of sympathy on here but I'm afraid - perhaps controversially - I think you need to put your horses needs first and speak to yard owner. It's not their decision on whether your horse is overweight...

    who has horses our 24/7 through winter? reassure me!!

    Two of mine are out 24/7 in all weathers and they're oldies. They're well rugged during winter and fed hay and some hard feed. They do just fine. I wouldn't have it any other way.

    Is it ok to travel a horse loose in a lorry. My friend has a horse that is a nightmare to travel - horse seems to completely freak out at being confined. Loads ok but has complete fit once confined - rearing and all sorts to the point of being dangerous. Doesn't even matter if she travels him...

    Very swollen hock

    My youngster has just done similar thing. I used ice clay and bandage overnight, cold hosed in the mornings and left bare to dry and repeated it all. Did this for about 5 days and it went right down and is fine now.

    I had one for years. I used to throw it around and didn't even think it needed PAS. Great little lorries.
