for those who dont believe in big cat attacks in the UK

Just watched something called incredible animals on CBBC. One boy shown on it had been out camping in his familys farm and decided to carry his pet cat who had followed him home. The cat suddenly ran off so he followed some movement into long grass assuming it was his pet cat. he was then...

towing with a humble saloon car - does any one else do it?

I think this is a better site as it gives tow capacity based on 85% of kerb weight of vehicle. Mine will tow a Bateson derby, but some of the 4x4's such as the Hondas have a similair tow weight ! I agree that towing with a terrios would be mad -maybe they meant tow car and trailer with a pony...

towing with a humble saloon car - does any one else do it?

thank you guys for your further comments, I do appreciate the comments re wear and tear had a peugot 405 blow up on me and had to hitch hike the remaining 20 miles to endurance ride with pony! My theory such as it is that as my towing will be 1 to 2 per month that I can balance that cost...

The award for the most inconsiderate livery goes to..........

not what I would do personally, but what if they were worried about horses in horrible rain and made up an excuse for getting them in? cant really blame them for that and they are THEIR horses.

towing with a humble saloon car - does any one else do it?

thanks Guys, interesting to read such diverse views. Alas a 4x4 (my hearts desire!) is out of the question at present. We cant afford a second car and as I often do 400+mile round trips for business I could not afford to buy and use a cheap 4x4 as a first car! My saab does 56 miles to 60...

towing with a humble saloon car - does any one else do it?

I bought a saab 93 1.9 turbo diesal for work. Cunning plan was to tow with other halfs massive car. He is now out of work and car has been sold so I am down to towing with my saab. it is plated to tow 1600(KGs?) and gross kerb weight is 1400 (kgs?). I will probably have to buy a suitable trailer...

Single trailer - does any one use one esp girl who posted at xmas?

I joined this forum after reading the threads about single trailers. I am considering buying one as I sold my old trailer a year ago as I thought my pony would have to retire(big mistake!). I had a richardson rossette with no partions as pony hates these and wont travel with other horses. I...
