I normally live in old trackie bottoms and my muck boots so i ride in these too.
Occaisionally if i am making an effort for a long hack/lesson or I am having a thin day I will wear my breeches and long boots which I must admit are comfier.
I don't like the thought of riding in jeans...

Thanks for that blackhorses, mine sounds just like yours, he comes in strutting his stuff and shouting at the 2 stallions on the yard. I think he thinks he could take them both on at once!

Up until tonight I have seen him display typical coltish behaviour, mounting his dam sideways on, chatting up other mares in the herd, nipping etc.
However, tonight when I was calling him and his dam in, he was over the other...

Even though they may have just been trying to explain, the wording does sound as though they are having a dig.
I too would always have a partion in when travelling 1 horse or pony, it gives them something to brace themselves against.

I have a a foal that needs a lot of work and a mare due to pop in february, not to mention a OH who wants some of my time, a house to prepare for sale and a wedding to plan!!!

I don't know much about sport horse breeding but with ponies, you wouldn't be able to register her with her real dad as the sire.
However, again, with ponies, this wouldn't stop you breeding from her in the future.
I had to vacum all the polo ponies when I worked on a polo yard in america!
If the saddle cloths were dirty after he had ridden I got told off because I mustn't have vacumed them well enough before hand..........!
