Its just a curiosity thing really, I always thought the business was going well - as they often showed as fully booked for the seasonal bookings? But I notice the site hasn't been updated in years. Many Thanks
Thank you all, so the fibre based diet my filly is getting should be fine - phew. Was just a little worried as its years and years since I've had a native youngster. Will get her another lick for her stable - she demolished the last one- cant put one out in the field cause of the sheep.
Hi there,
Just wondering what you feed to your 2 yo natives?
I have a 2 yo highland ( bought in the spring) who at present is on ad lib forage with hi fi, speedibeet and pink powder. Is this good enough?
Thank you dun pony, yes I realise that I shouldn't/wouldn't do anything to make them permanent, just trying to avoid the mud that we have had this year.
Many thanks :-)
Hi all,
I have had my mobile stables for 3 years now, and always used a straw bed to date and not suffered any ill effect until with winter with all the blooming rain!
I was on another site the other day which suggested paving slabs with rubber mats over the top- does this work???

Hi there, I have taken on an old dart moor mare who definitely needs a new rug! A not used to looking for rugs so small and am having trouble finding the right thing.

Need to tweak my mares diet, she is 7 months into chronic grass sickness, and I need to be a little careful with starch.
Many thanks
Thank you all for your posts - I found a mobile number for Valley View, so sent them a txt to check, in the meanwhile i found the horsey porridge and had added it to my basket. They then replied (excellent on a Sunday night!!) saying horsey porridge or the crumb would be fine. So, I have ordered...
Thanks for your replies and links - excellent!
Ah right - hmm - wasnt terribly aware re the soaking thing - I knew it was preferable - but is it essential? She wont eat any wetted feeds :( however she does soak them herself as she has a mouthful then has a drink - so consequently she makes...
Hi all,
My mare is on day 46 of Chronic Grass Sickness. I am desperately trying to find a 3/4mm alfalfa pellet - but can only seem to find 6mm.
Am already using fibregest which is 2mm but this is not only fibre and as such has a max feeding rate of 750 g.
I am looking for ideally 3mm that...
Hi mrv, glad to hear things are going in the right direction. My mare is currently on day 38. She still can't/ won't eat hay/haylage/short chops/beets but is very content with dry feeds which she swills down with a drink. Funnily enough if you offer a wet feed she turns her nose up. To give you...
Hi tikino and patchandloopy am on iPhone so only a brief reply I'm afraid. My mare is currently over a month into chronic grass sickness. It is a real roller coaster and the prognosis is guarded although recovery is possible. There is a really good fb group named grass sickness awareness - its...
