There's a child on the yard. Rules?

We arnt on a yard as we don't own or share a horse (and won't be doing for a v.long time until the pair of us have had a lot more experience), my daughter has just had a few lessons at a RS. All I can say is if my children acted the way some others have been described I would be utterly...

Aw bless her! I hope you enjoy your lesson on Tuesday! Would love to hear how you get on, as I am in a similar situation as you - my 5 year old has been riding (she's not keen on trotting though lol) and would love for us to be able to do it together, as would I! :)

    Private lesson prices....

Hi, I was just wondering what the average sort of price is for a private lesson? I am wanting to get private lessons as a beginner, some places seem to charge per half hour and others by the hour. Also how long would you suggest a beginners first couple of lessons should be? :)

    RS Durham.

Hi, I'm looking for recommendations for riding schools in the Durham area. I have ridden before (nothing major just basic lessons) but that was about 10 years ago! So I'm looking for a school that is good with teaching adults, I would also prefer private lessons as I feel I wouldn't be...

    Riding boots - any recommendations?

Just another possible 'silly question' is there any difference comfort wise wearing the ankle boots as opposed to the boots that are mid-calf? I only ask as I don't normally wear ankle boots (during the day not when riding - havent tried out either yet as just looking at getting back into riding...

    Riding boots - any recommendations?

This might sound really stupid but would wellies be suitable for the first few lessons? Just that I already have a pair of decent wellies (albeit they are pink with horses on *blush* lol).

Thanks emmac82 I will check them out. The riding school doesn't provide boots so I'll definately need to get a pair.

    Riding boots - any recommendations?

Hi, I'm going to start to learn how to ride (at a riding school) and I am wanting to get the essentials prepared before I start to make sure I am safe and comfortable lol! I am totally clueless as to what boots are 'good' so I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction? I'm...
