    Looking for full livery

I had to sell my field in March this year, (due to poor health i cannot take full care of my pony anymore) and am struggling to find suitable livery. I would prefer my pony to live out, but he needs grazing/ hay managed, as he is overweight. I am looking for recommendations from fellow liveries...

    Loss of bone density, osteoporosis

Spoke to welfare officer and he was reacued from non industrial area near Nottingham. Just trying to decide if I should refer him to an orthopaedic specialist, my vet not recommending it, think she thinks there is nothing to be done and it would be a waste of my money, but im not sure. If I...

    Loss of bone density, osteoporosis

Thank you so so much for your time and research. I'm trying to get hold of the welfare officer who rescued him to check this out, hoping she will get back to me soon.

    Loss of bone density, osteoporosis

Hi, vet hasn't mentioned it, but I did come across it in my research today, so I plan to mention it tomorrow. I'm not sure how they test for it though?

    Loss of bone density, osteoporosis

Hi, yes that’s my gut feeling too. I'm sure my vet would agree, she said she doesn't want to see him cooped up, if he wasn't in pain, I think at the moment the concern is if we can get him pain free, he's been on anti inflammatory for 4 days now, I've not trotted up so not sure if improved, he...

    Loss of bone density, osteoporosis

So sorry, but this is an essay!! Thank you for reading! My 6 year old cob has been on yard and tiny paddock rest for 3 weeks due to lamenss in near fore, he hasn't improved in this time, although hasn't been on any anti inflammatory due to having some diarrhoea. He went for a lameness workup...

Please tell me I'm being daft!!

Wow that's interesting I've used it before and was sure the instructions said keep off for 2 weeks. Maybe the neighbour sprayed so close because she'd also read that it's ok. Problem was she wasnt up for a discussion so I've no idea. It's very reassuring though, thank you!

Thanks for confirming that. Have fenced off that area and feeling a bit more reassured for your reply.

Please tell me I'm being daft!!

Thanks, I've managed to do it without too much work, I've had to create extra gates onto the internal paddocks on opposite side which I didn't really want to do but it was easiest option. I'm just on alert now though, checking on them regularly with camera when not there. Worried for their...

Please tell me I'm being daft!!

That's a good idea, I didn't think of that. I don't know why they didn't tell me, they did the first time and we agreed I would keep the ponies at the back of the field so they could spray front and then when they wanted to do back, I would move to front, I guess it just didn't suit them to let...

Please tell me I'm being daft!!

It is isn't it, I know I wouldn't do it. I'm so upset, they have bought the land recently, it has been empty for years and has been my haven. I'm just so upset that this has happened, I thought they were being considerate and it would all be ok, feels like it wont now. I've just sent a lovely...
