    A heart felt thank you.

Thank you one and all. I’ll be popping back I’m sure. I’ve no intention of disappearing in a puff of smoke ? We’ve bought a touring caravan and hope to explore some new places. Just me, hubby and puppy ? I’m looking forward to it.

    A heart felt thank you.

In the blink of an eye, 35 years plus of horse owning has come to an end today. Lulu went to her new home and it marks the end of an era. I have turned to the wonderful community on here on many occasions and you’ve offered advice, kind words, inspiration and a kick up the backside when I’ve...

Giving my horse away but securing her future - a big ask!

I'm in Cumbria. I'm reluctant to make it common knowledge, as I know I'd get lots of people promising the world. I'll keep it within my friends circle for now.

Giving my horse away but securing her future - a big ask!

Thanks everyone, it’s not an easy situation. I know ‘giving her away’ sounds like a don’t care but that’s absolutely not true. I’m very cautious about the whole idea. I know she’s worth nothing in monetary terms but she’s a living creature that deserves respect and care. I’ll consider what...

Giving my horse away but securing her future - a big ask!

Yes, you're all absolutely right in trying to secure her future. I suppose I just want a lovely happy ending for her, with me knowing she's found someone worthy of her....but of course, us humans always have to take advantage of the situation. I know I need to be wary of the less than truthful...

Giving my horse away but securing her future - a big ask!

The problem with loaning is if she comes back and I've given up my stable. I'd have nowhere for her. She 10 years old, 15hh, mare, clyde x sec d. Been backed a few years ago and done logging in forests in recent years. Her sarcoids are quite extensive. Non at all where her tack goes, but lots in...

Giving my horse away but securing her future - a big ask!

Some of you will remember I posted about selling my mare but she has sarcoids. I still have her but I'm totally giving up horses and moving on to another chapter of my life. I want to find her a new home, but don't want any money for her. I just want to secure her future with someone who...

Finding a home for a horse with sarcoids.

She’s not quiet enough for RDA in my opinion.

Finding a home for a horse with sarcoids.

Yes it’s a possibility, I’m looking at all options.

Finding a home for a horse with sarcoids.

She’s 10, 15hh and a Clyde x Welsh D. Beautiful to look at, backed by me at 4, hacked for a couple of years and logged in forests when I sold her. I haven’t ridden her much since I got her back last March. I’d be happy to minimum money exchanged hands in exchange for a good home.

Finding a home for a horse with sarcoids.

I’ve owned her twice, so at 6 when I sold her she had non but buying her back at 9 she has. I’d just lost Sox to grass sickness, got the chance to buy her back and really was in no fit state to make that decision. Hey ho! Here we are. She has had a big lump removed from her chest and small ones...

Finding a home for a horse with sarcoids.

I’ve made the decision or rather my poor health has, that I am no longer able to have a horse. I’m ok with that but need to find a good home for Lulu. She has sarcoids and I’m aware her monetary value is low but that is irrelevant to me, my only concern is a good home. How would you go about...

    KC registered puppies

Thanks both, I appreciate your replies. The tests I see carried out are CC - Curly Coat free, DE - Dry eye free and EF - episodic falling free. Some test for heart murmours with a doplar and mention their results. Like I say, I wouldn't just take their word for it, I'd definately need to see...

Genuine question and not wanting to start a war....;) We're looking for our next special baby in the form of a King Charles Cavalier puppy. Our last one died in April 21 and we miss her dreadfully. Our house is nearly complete its renovation and we're starting our search. I'm much more clued up...
