Not sure where you are but if its North West England area Kevin Parker Horseboxes at Barton nr Preston has a dedicated paint shop for horseboxes he builds a lot of 7.5t so yours would easily fit in.

If you are getting another box its worth asking the new horsebox manufacturer if they would take it in part ex, you won't get as much as a private sale but then you dont have any hassle of timewasters etc coming to your yard.

We get asked the same questions everytime we do a show, in our experience the 3.5t vehicles currently on the market are fine to carry one horse or two ponies but be carefull of the weight, the same applies for 7.5T vehicles they also have a limit on payload just because its a larger vehicle...

I know its a lot above budget but have a look at Financing a new one such as the Equi Trek Endeavour or a Victory, because these are built on new chassis they come with manufactures warranty so no problems there and the finance companies have some great rates. A Standard Victory on a 5 year...
