Hi,
Donal has some truly lovely horses - I am friends with someone who rides professionally and takes on a lot from him. As far as I am aware most of his horses for sale are youngsters that need lots of time and experience - not to mention £££ to buy!
Would definitely reccommend if you are...
Hi,
I suppose every horse is different, but my TB x damaged his tendon so badly at a BE event by jumping like a complete loon cross country that he was put in a cast and had to be cross-tied in his stable for weeks!
When he came sound again we turned him away for 18 months and he got very...
Hey,
First, really sorry to hear that you're missing your boy! Moving to Uni is hard enough in itself, and to not have your horse anymore really can seem like the nail in the coffin! However, my advice you would be to try and stick it out. In my opinion (although many may disagree), it's not...
When I bought my TB x his feet left alot to be desired (despite being made to compete at Intermediate level, some people amaze me), but I took a chance and stuck him on Farriers Formula and was really pleased with the significant difference in his hooves over a relatively short space of time...
Used to live in Ascot and had friends who liveried around Egham way ... can't figure out walking distances/train stops but think there's a couple out Lyne way? Also, I used to use one near the Park in Ascot (very good) and another fantastic one out Chobham way. Although I may be completely off...
Stories like this make me despair, I just don't understand how some people can act in such an utterly sickening way :( Poor kittens x
Also, Asterid - I agree with you!
Afraid I can't offer a solution but if you mention he has started rearing for no apparent reason then I would definitely check out all of the usuals (back, teeth, tack etc) as it sounds like he could be in pain?
If I were you I'd be tempted to get him home and then try and find another...
Definitely Yard 2 - for some reason I just get the impression that it's a more comprehensive 'service' for not a lot more than you'd be paying at Yard 1. Plus, I'd imagine that once winter rolls round you'd really appreciate only having to go down once a day :) x
I know it's not easy bringing memories back of beloved pets that aren't here anymore so I really appreciate all of your replies, thank you very much x
I have read through everyones posts and with the smaller animals in particular I guess it's just a case of 'luck' as to whether it's a...
It's a difficult one isn't it ... I know of people who have had experiences both ways, but just makes me dread having to go through it again. Like you mentioned MissElz, it's not even as if you have the choice of injection or bullet for the smaller animals :(
Also, Kokopelli I'm so sorry to...
Sorry that it's a bit of a grim subject, but I've got a few questions that I was hoping people could answer.
I had to have a friends cat put to sleep today (she was on holiday and I was the emergency contact for the cattery - not brilliant as I had to ring her up and ask her permission which...
Good news, but that is odd that the lady contacted you with that particular advert ... might be the 'spooky church' at work, serves us right for laughing about it on the paranormal thread the other day!
Will keep my fingers crossed that all goes well for you and your daughter with the pony...
I've got an Old English Sheepdog, which probably isn't that unusual countywide but as far as I'm aware it's the only one in our area! People always stop to say hello as she's such a character and reminds them of the Dulux dog on TV.
One of our dog walking buddies also has an Italian Spinoni...
daisydo that made me chuckle, "spooky church"!
I completely agree with you though, I've had similar questionable experiences, so definitely wouldn't write the concept off as rubbish! Particularly after reading all the other forum members' stories...
