Really! The Hi-Fi Senior is a blend of grass and alfalfa there is no reason why you cant feed it to your horse to top up the fibre in her diet! We use it as a hay substitute for our competition horses because it is a very clean source of forage!
Please get some proper advice. Most of the Feed companies have a nutritionist who can give you good advice on the best products to use. Not all feed stores will have trained staff to offer nutritional advice whilst they may have experience in what works for their own horse, not all we be best...
I feed a good quality balancer so I don't need to add any additional supplements. Works out much more cost effective than feeding a supplement for this and a supplement for that. Suits my horse well!
Another vote for Healthy Tummy, my friend started feeding it to her TB when he was on some medication and she was struggling to get him to eat. It smells lovely and seems to hide the taste of the medication. I am pretty sure that it is molasses free but might be worth giving Dengie a call to...
I was reading about ulcers the other day and came across this article

Thought you might find it interesting. I was surprised to learn that omega 6 fatty acids are thought to be beneficial for ulcer horses...

I would suggest speaking to a nutritionist to get some expert advice on the most suitable diet...
Hi, I agree it can be a bit of a mine field when selecting the most suitable feeed for your horse, it is very easy to feed a litlle of this and that but this can mean that your horse is not receiving a balanced diet! We recently had a Dengie nutritionist visit our yard with a portable...
HI
I contacted the Laminitis Trust last week with a similar query about my old horse that has been diagnosed with cushings but needs more condition. They suggested the Dengie Alfa-A Molasses Free for my horse. I was told that Alfalfa is a really good way to get extra calories but because it...
Alfalfa and lucerne are the same plant, so your Lucie Nuts should be similar nutritionally to the Alfalfa Pellets. If your horse has been getting on fine with the Simple Systems diet I doubt the the feed change has had an effect on your horses behaviour - more likely to be that she has come...
I think that is a really sensible diet for a new horse. If needed you could always increase the amount of Hi-Fi or add in some unmolassed sugar beet over the winter. Personally I think feeding a balanced diet is very important adding the vitamins and minerals will ensure that he is recieving...
We have just had Dengie out to do a diet clinic on our yard, they brought along their weighbridge and I was amazed that one of the big draught horses on the yard weighed 770kg on the weighbridge but was estimated at 689kg on the weightape!
Hi, I have used this product for my horse with great success! I used to feed a cool mix and sugar beet and a whole host of supplements but I found that my horse became very fizzy on this diet! Since changing to a the balancer and Alfa-A my horse is more managable (he still has his silly days!)...
