I want to spray my field this year. Is Grazeon still the weed killer to go to? Horses will be off it for approx 6-8 weeks after spraying (I need to get them back on it so I can rest the winter sections).
Does anyone know what this is like? My pony needs something like this for the winter. I tried her on Northern Crop Driers Grazon last winter, but it was very spikey and dry but she won't eat it when it's wet :/ She has Dengie in addition to her hay, but needs a 'grass replacement' as a top up...
While I fully support the aims BHS, the turnover of staff there is awful :( It seems like the people on the ground are doing their best without adequate support from the top, and it comes across as a bit shambolic really.
Thank you for everyones' comments. She used to be on Fast Fibre but stopped eating it even when I added things to it. Will speak to the advisors at Dengie and Emerald Green and see what they say :) I spoke to the Emerald Green people at Badminton the other year and they were really nice, but I...
I've been looking at feeding my pony soaked grass/forage nuts as she has problems chewing and we haven't got to the bottom of her dental issues yet.
She can eat haylage and enjoys it, so want to supplement with the grass nuts in the stable overnight rather than change over completely...
Just wondering if anyone has experienced something similar or has any ideas.
My mare (who has always been difficult) has started to do a sort of passage when ridden. It started in a lesson in January 2014 - she was in season and was throwing her toys out of the pram. Thinking it was a new...
My dog is incredibly social - it's me that isn't. He was quite happy having kisses from two, large un-neutered rotties this morning while I had a mild heart attack. I know I shouldn't judge but big dogs like that always make me worried. I do notice more dogs are aggressive these days, I just...
It could end well. I had a lady in the shop looking for an elderly companion for her old horse the other month, her old TB had been pts leaving her other old horse (he was about 25 I think) on his own. She got one from facebook and it's really landed on its hooves as her horses are spoiled...
I often daydream about competing my horse - either a dressage test or show jumping. In my dream we do very well and have a lovely time....
Reality = my horse is mentally unstable, can't go in warmups and has to visit a new place several times before she's safe enough to ride and even then gets...
My friend had these in her paddock and she's ended up digging the seedlings out as the normal spray she uses didn't work on them. I think the seedlings post the same risk but not 100% sure on that, most people aren't taking any chances round here tbh as there was a local case of it the other...
These days yes (apart from muppet moments where I confuse my cap with my hat) as I won't be covered on insurance if I don't. I don't use one for handling horses though unless I feel they need it or the owner of the horse has requested it. I used to work with a dressage rider who insisted hats...
