Has anyone else seen the Facebook video of the maiden TB mare, that went for 9.5 mil at auction in US. if it was stallion and had proven bloodlines I could see why the price went so high but how will soneone make their money on this investment?
Absolutely this. We keep horses in unnatural environments so should make it as comfortable as possible not as cheap and stingy as possible. Mine is on matting and a 6 to 8inch deep bed. Muck our daily and one bag shavings in a week. I find I use less having more in to start with. I think...
I used to keep the big beastie at a riding school. One barn for liveries and one for riding school ponies. After their lessons the parents would being their kids in to feed the horses apples and carrots. Most liveriescwere fine but mine has ems/ir which has caused laminitis so like yours...
Hey ilc. Sadly a lot of mumsnet quirks (a site which I do not and never will use, although daily mail must have shares in them for the amount of articles they run on it) are popping up on this site. Although I'm really hoping this forum does turn into that one. Like I've said its a terrrible...
I'm an accountant and can advise you do not. It us not classed as taxable income and the taxman is not interested in the least. Taxable income includes employment, dividend, self employment profits, savings and investments, property income etc. I hope this helps OP and anyone else that is...

Ha I feel your pain. I bruise like a peach at the slightest touch and spend my life looking like a battered wife, but when I have a spectacular fall nothing!!!
Aloha! Whilst it's mostly ok if used sparingly pig oil is very corrosive to horses skin. For this reason I have always avoided it and used mane and tail spray or baby oil instead. Sometimes I use nothing and just rinse the coblets feathers when she comes in
My vet said the same as yours 're Sedalin. Helps the blood flow to the feet to prevent the laminae dying off due to lack of blood flow. Another thing my vet said was never cold hose a laminitis as it causes already restricted blood vessels to construct even more. Was advised to put her feet...
I am treating a laminitis horse that was very nearly PTS in June. DO NOT put horse out unless advised by vet. The keeping on box rest has nothing to do with the keeping off grass it's to do with keeping the foot immobile and preventing pedal bone rotation as due to the laminitis the connecting...
