    PTS a pony that's "fine"

I don’t know but the owner should know or if she doesn’t she could find out before making any sort of decision

    PTS a pony that's "fine"

I agree with Coblet, if she is not in pain and living a quiet contented life and you have the means to continue this you should let her be.

    Poor Honey

I was advised by my vet to give my little dog with bladder stones only Volvic bottled water, apparently it has the least of the mineral that causes the stones than all other bottled waters. We have hard water here also.

    Talk to me about TBs…

I had a flat racer who had finished racing and was scheduled for the butchers ( he had won but not massively and was a gelding). These horses who were considered to have no future were kept badly until there were enough of them ready to be transported. I bought him for the price of meat. He was...

    Pony hates yard owner

The YO does not have a funny smell (like a smell of medicine or other vet smell)?

    Another fatal dog attack

What is different in UK to other parts of Europe? I have not heard of this problem, at least certainly not to this extent anywhere else.

    Working golden retrievers

My very first goldie ended up at 40 kgs, he was a bit too big for his race but was the most lovely dog.

Talk to me about your ex racers

I suspect the younger they are when you get them the easier it is to change their behaviour. Mine was 8 years old and had been racing from 2 years old. He was sold when he stopped winning. he was a big powerful horse and to be honest I was not up to the mark to really make significant changes...

    Another fatal dog attack

I know there are a few people on here who also live in France so my question is “how come I don’t here about this sort of thing happening here? What is the difference with the UK?”

    Awful gabapentin side effect?

My little dog was on Gabapentin (sorry forgot the dosage) morning and evening for many years and she was always fine. her back had been badly beaten and/or kicked over a number of years and she had learnt how to walk again but had not much control over back legs. The Gabapentin controlled her...

"Should puppies have water at night?"

I have found that older dogs sometimes drink a lot at night wheras when younger did not. I now have a big bowl of fresh water upstairs as well as downstairs. When younger he could go downstairs to drink but now he is not confident to go down in the dark. He will bark to let you know he wants...

Take # the umpteeth at getting the JRT to accept a cool coat 🤣

My son’s little dog (currently staying with me) has a ruffwear cool coat and he wears it with no problem. Luckily for me as this afternoon we have temps of 33 forecast. Even with the coat we will not be going out until quite late as he is elderly and has heart problems.
