The RSPCA Told to Stop Trying to Prosecute Fox Hunters

I'm getting very confused as I can't seem to find the full report (not the 11 page RSPCA response) anywhere, all the links on this post take me to the response, search of RSPCA website brings up only their response, google hasn't found it and links from other online articles all take me to the...

Horse stood on nail - now has 50:50 chance of survival. Experiences??

My pony stood on a 6 inch nail whilst cantering in a lesson at the beginning of the year. He suddenly went hopping lame and pulled up, when I got off I found a nail had gone into his frog on the left fore about 3/4 of the way up towards the heel. We pulled it out as couldn't move him with it in...

    Interesting afternoon with Michael Peace

Michael Peace came out to our yard yesterday to see my friend's horse and my pony. My pony has issues with tanking off whilst being lead and running backwards when being loaded. Had some great insight into how my pony thinks and got the leading and loading sorted pretty quickly. Apparently...

    Gastroscope - What to expect?

My pony went through the same thing. They usually starve them for 12 hours beforehand so I would imagine they would put him on a shavings bed and leave him overnight without hay. For the actual scoping he went into the procedure room and was put in the stocks. He was then sedated and a...

    Some fresh ideas PLEASE!!!!

I too have welsh sec C who sounds just like yours, I can sympathise with the fustration of dealing with a stubborn welshie. My pony recently got worse so we got the vet involved and it turned out he had bad gastric ulcers. He's just started his treatment and is already a lot more forward and...

Good cross country course for a baby/inexperienced horse in the South East?

A really good place for xc schooling is Boomerang, loads of small fences, ditches, steps and a couple of waters. It's off the M4 at the Membury junction so easy to get to.

    Joint supplements?

You could try Devils Claw, seems to have helped my 16 year old welshie keep supple.
