Best stirrups (none cheap that will last)

Any stirrup recommendations for every day use but that I can also ride in at dressage comps, liking the look of the royal rider cheese grater style don't want the springy suspension type as over time they hurt my hip and I also prefer a lightweight stirrup. Budget of around £100. Thanks

Insurance to run equestrian events as a business

Hi there, Long story short I've ran quite a lot of competitions that my local riding club have let me run through them before (dressage, showing etc) BUT they only run usually march through to October. Basically next winter I'm wanting to run a dressage series, and hold it at the livery yard...

My horse struggles to keep his cool outside. Is he scared?

Thanks for your reply. He's up to date with everything all my horses have their back checked every 6 weeks, teeth done every 5 months and our saddle fitter came out to check his saddle over again at the start of December so none of those routes are one I fee I need to go down. He's not a good...

My horse struggles to keep his cool outside. Is he scared?

He's not done a lot he's been away for schooling on a very quiet yard whereas at home it's a lot more active, more horses and people etc. He's turned out daily at 8am and brought in at 12:30 fed in the morning before turnout and again at tea time 6pm when the rest of the horses are fed too, he's...

My horse struggles to keep his cool outside. Is he scared?

So long story short we bought a horse who we had told had done a lot more than he had and in truth he's a *******ing nightmare at times! In the stable he's the sweetest calmest horse to be around, take him out of the stable and tie him up outside and he's on pins dancing around like a pogo...

Feed advice for conditioning a horse who's "full of beans"

Any advice welcome, horse could do with a bit of conditioning put on. He's out during the day and in at night with 3 hayledge nets in. I give him the option to graze permanently. He's been away schooling and he came back more under conditioned than I'd like coming into winter so introduced...

Help please, my instructor keeps getting at me for the position of my hands and how they bob around in front of me in rising trot. Walk-fine! Sitting trot- fine! Canter- fine! Rising trot? I can't help but lifting my hands when I rise? If I sat and held a strap on my saddle it's no...

Music ideas? Freestyle intro to music?

I've entered my riding clubs freestyle dressage to music this Sunday. I've written my test out and thought I'd found the perfect song, was dissapointed to realise this morning it's only 2 minutes 20 seconds long and minimum the test can be is 3minutes 30 seconds. It's just for riding club, it's...

    Kissing spine? Opinions?

I did try but unfortunately he became really defensive and started saying my horse was dangerous and these problems lied before the saddle was fitted which wasn't true, I think the worst he done when the saddler was there was prick his ears at another horse walking into the yard from the field...

    Kissing spine? Opinions?

Oh he did see me ride in it. But I couldn't feel it for myself that it was rising. The saddle was returned. Used someone out of the area as was desperate and turns out he doesn't have the best reputation but didn't know that at the time! :(
