Hi I have a pair of Thorowgood T6 stirrups that are similar and comfortable, think they were only about £30 on ebay 2nd hand. :)

Shopping help please - 16" adjustable saddle

I was going to suggest a flexee too, though haven't used one! I'm saving up for one :) http://www.enlightenedequitation.com/flexee_intro.htm I think the new ones are 499 new with full set of gullet plates, or you can also use it without one more like a treeless.

I fell off..getting on my horse the other day! (he spooked and span) So I wouldn't risk it, if I even manage to fall off before I'm even on! :p

How common is a point and shoot jumping horse?

Thanks for everyones replies. :) I feel super confident on my horse, but I'm not planning on going any higher at the min as I'm very much a novice (started jumping this year!) and this pic shows how good she is and how much practice i need, bless her! :o I just really scared of ruining her.

Sounds like mine at the min, I'm so nervous some times and she just wizzes round. Terrified of ruining her.

How common is a point and shoot jumping horse?

True! So tricky, how do you know how not to overface them and what they are capable of? My horse is only 6 but got her from a show jumping home so she already had been out there up to 95. Is it best to get an experienced rider to jump them first if you decide to go up a height? :)

How common is a point and shoot jumping horse?

Yeah true, I still have him. He is ungenuine in other ways tbh too, has always been nappy for example.

How common is a point and shoot jumping horse?

Was just wondering recently how common a horse is that you can just aim him and the jump and know he will jump if able to? The reason I ask is I started jumping on my 1st horse that is the least helpful horse ever, he would stop and run out etc with me, but not with more experienced riders. I...

Taking a risk or stick to what you know?

I bought a 4 year old in a similar situation to you, wasn't meant to get one so young either. She's 6 in January and has done nothing but fill me with confidence from day one, after a blip in confidence on another horse! :)

    Horse dandruff?

Both my horses have quite bad dandruff type skin! If you brush them it comes off on the brush, and leaves it white so its quite disgusting!! They are not itchy or anything. They are both fed 2 cups of fast fibre and Pro Balance supplement and one also has a scoop of alfa a oil. Any ideas what...

    Toe dragging

My horse was dragging his toe quite bad once. Got the physio out after scaring myself with what it might be, but turned out it was something to do with his pelvis and was sorted in 1 session. Never happened since (that was over a year ago now!)
