she’s been hacking for a month now i believe, bought the trot in after four weeks of hacking and she can progress to normal levels of work in the next few weeks:)
i’ll get someone to come on the ground next to me when we go hacking in the next week or so. she has a lot of blood and gets very feisty and it’s quite difficult as the roads near us can get quite busy!! but you’re right she has to learn so i’ll get her out the next couple of weeks x
i don’t want to jump her unfit, that’s why im asking. she has been in work for some time now, trust me when i say that i wouldn’t do something stupid and detrimental to her rehab such as jumping her when she lacks muscle.
i don’t want to jump her unfit, that’s why i’ve asked the question above...
my 9y/o ish is just coming back into work after lameness in her back suspensories and front right. she’s been in work for a little while now and has been given the all the clear to jump in two weeks! naturally she’s quite a stuffy horse when you’re warming up anyway but obviously due to her time...
Plastic ones I guess.. when i meant scared to use them i meant i didn’t want to use the big metal ones 😂 my instructor told me she needs to feel the pressure from my leg aid because she won’t react to anything else, it’s just trial and error and i trust my trainers judgement x
So I’ve been advised by my instructor to wear spurs when flatting my horse as she’s very lazy when we don’t jump, I've been advised to get rubber ones because I’m too scared to use anything else 🤣. If anyone could suggest any websites/brands/specific first time spurs I would be very...
So my new mare didn’t come with any travel boots, she’s 15.2/3 9y/o Irish Sports Horse, I’m just wondering whether to get her cob or full boots (she fits in a cob head collar and her Woofwear boots are small horse, rug size is 6ft ish) I’ll try and attach some photos if that helps...
she’s in the field monday Thursday + saturday.. so yeah i guess it’s because she’s in quite a lot of the time because im at school during the week
yes she is new.. i know her old owners and i also know that she is a fit horse. I don’t think i have been very helpful providing info so sorry everyone! She was one of 25 horses for her old owner to ride so in the few days before we bought her im assuming that she wasn’t ridden very much...
She’s just been vetted and quite harshly at that so i doubt anything is that wrong with her.. she behaves well but just seems bored with flatwork, i am probably going to give her a week or so of just hacking because my friend did that with her horse and she came back better than ever so might...
