Thanks guys, we've had back door closed today because of bad weather and took them out this afternoon so he didn't hear the muskets! I'm definitely going to try a plug in!

Can anyone recommend adaptil or similar plug ins ? Alfie gets very stressful with thunder, fireworks and guns close by. There is going to be musket gun fire and cannon fire in the castle next weekend and he'll be literally climbing the walls unless we go out all day Saturday and Sunday!

Umm my daughter likes her old pony to have a long mane, but it does NOT suit her and gives the impression that she has a thin neck, so I take the scissors and mane rake to it a couple of times a year and tidy it up, much to daughters disgust ! I am a terrible person :D

After taking into account all of the above, have you considered changing his routine a bit, keeping him in during the day and out at night (at least through spring and summer into early winter) and maybe using a paddock paradise system (which i would love to try but OH is against) the PP S...

We started using ours straight off the field...well off the field into the barn and straight out again

We rent one 9 1/2 acre field and graze common land in the village, and two small paddocks and an old small farm yard around 2 1/2 miles away. So other i suppose!

Even if there are rosettes left after you have pulled the ones you can see, they will be lower than the cutting blade so wont get cut into hay! But if you are really worried you could just top(or graze sheep) this year after pulling then go over it carefully with a sprayer and rag-fork later.

What a load of tosh and twaddle some of you lot could argue with a squashed frog!
