I think posting on here has magic powers, he just snuck into the kitchen and ate some chicken. 😁. He has been through so much recently having to have two different digit amputations due to two different types of cancer, he was going so well and now this.

Our little dog has been in hospital with acute haemorrigic diarrhoea syndrome. He is home now and he is drinking well but cannot tempt him with food. He was eating some plain chicken and rice but won’t touch that now. He is normally fed Lilys kitchen wet food which he loves but not interested...

Final update. He has had the amputation and is healing really well. Histology showed it was cancer but his margins are clear so hopefully removing digit has cleared it. All his other bloods are excellent so they think it hasn’t spread. Vet very pleased with outcome and once the stitches are...

JBM thanks for all the advice , has really helped put my mind at ease. He is already on pro/prebiotics because of antibiotics. Good idea re playpen. Hope you girl fully recovers soon.

Thank you, if anyone has any experience of digit removal it would be good to hear. I am struggling to get my head around the concept.

An update, he has completed a months antibiotics but foot is still swollen. Has been prescribed a further two weeks and is on painkillers. Reassess in two weeks if still no improvement we have to consider amputation of digit after further X-rays to see if infection has spread. I wish it was...
