    Aloe Vera Juice

I used the forever living aloe juice in the past to boost the immune system of a 16.2 tb. He had 30ml once a day. He refused to eat feed with it in and wasn't easy to syringe as so runny so I used to liquidise apples and mix them with the juice then syringe it into his mouth which worked well.

Hard swelling under jaw - any ideas?

On Friday morning my 13 yr old mare came in with a painful, swollen sublingual gland. She ate her hard feed ok but couldn't swallow haylage at all, just chewed it and spat it out. Vet came out, without gag unfortunately, but said he was able to get a good look at her mouth & there was no...

I was always surprised by how many owners wanted to send their horses away to...

HELP headshaking on contact before a fence (sorry long one)

Is it possible that you are actually shortening her stride too much before a fence because she is over excited & feeling so bouncy? If you then release the contact 3 strides out you will encourage her to accelerate and flatten over the fence. My mare always used to rush the last stride...

how did your horse react when first using a hackamore?

I used a hackamore on my TB after he got stung on the mouth by an insect, he was normally ridden in a KK ultra and occasionally in a tom thumb bit for x country. He went really well in the hackamore, I even took him x country in it with no problems. The steering feels a bit weird as you don't...

    back guy-tex gamble bristol?

I took my mare to Tex 10 yrs ago for treatment having heard really good reports of his work from friends. He said she was a bit tight in her back but nothing major, treated her using a rubber mallett & said she'd be fine. Having always travelled well up til then, she was really distressed...

(Quote) The difference between NFU and South Essex is that NFU only pay half for MRI scan so you would have to find about £500 but the pay half of traveling and stabling costs. SE pay all of MRI but no traveling or stabling costs. I have own lorry so SE is better for me, My vet told me NFU...
