Dentist - Hartpury used to do a degree which has now stopped. I *think* you could get an apprentiship and do things that way, eventually with enough experience/portfolio taking your exams but otherwise I think its abroad. Im not 100% sure though tbh
Physio - either human first, and then MSc at...
bloomin mares! we were thinking of leaving her in stable next to him after riding, but at his yard rather than ours as she is fiercely protective of her stable at home. Its just such a pain and would hate her to kick him and she is so fast. Someone did suggest trying her on some sort of moody...
Any ideas or suggestions greatly welcomed!
My (tb x Welsh) 16 year old mare Bramble is a complete madam with other horses, and her disgust for most geldings and many mares has grown over the years (I have had her since a 4 year old). I will add here she is perfectly fine with people, in her...
I have been wondering this, am due to pop next week with my first and havnt ridden since 12 weeks so am DESPERATE to be back on board. I had visions of strapping child onto my back after 2 days and going out hacking but OH soon put a stop to that day dream!!! I am hoping somewhere around a...
Il let you know soon, am almost done cooking my first baby and dying to get back in the saddle! I have a feeling it will change me, mainly because its not just about me anymore - if I get injured I still have another person to look after.
Congrats! I am 36 weeks pregnant and my mare who is normally not very affectionate (had her 11 years!) and abit of a stroppy madam has been very gentle with her actions round my (huge) bump. She blows and nuzzles it if I lift my top up! However our big old gelding is completely oblivious and...
Hey, been a while since I have been on here! Hope everyone is ok.
My 2 year old JRT x Chi (male, neutered) has developed this bizzare obsession with my blusher brush. Everytime he is alone in the house (both me and OH out) he will go and find my make up bag (which is generally found slung...
This little pony I bought as a rising 3 year old - virtually unhandled and off to the sales to await his fate if I hadnt of bought. Not mistreated as such but extremely scared of everything and his own shadow, not in very good condition (and abit ugly!) and wormy with poor feet. He had no name...
I started mine by following another on a hack and popping over the odd (teeny tiny) log/stick!
When working him in hand (he was ace in hand, and very confident with me next to him) we would trot over poles together and then I popped up a little X pole and he popped over it with me. I never...
LOL, see most of the garden is decking - we created the grass patch for him to use as a toilet as he would not go on the decking!! We almost made a sand pit toilet but decided grass was better because of the cat issue! he also has absolutely no problem going on snow btw! I dont want to pander...
Was hoping someone may have some ideas of how to work through the issue, rather than just taking him down the road? Although am willing to do that if neccessary, if it avoids him causing damage to himself/have a happier dog!
You really think its that he wants more walks?! But then wouldnt he refuse to go toilet when its not raining as well!?
I honestly do not think it has anything to do with walks per say, but that he dislikes the cold and the wet grass - like I said he will run out obviously needing a wee and get...
It doesnt matter if I walk him to the grass patch, tried that , tried picking him up and putting him on it etc. He just stands there holding a paw up, ears flattened like its the most awful thing ever. Yes I could just walk him down the road but I would like to solve the issue, its a pain having...
Hi guys
Ok Louis is my JRT x Chi, 2 years old - have had him since a pup. He is neutered.
Our problem is that if its cold/wet/foggy/generally not warm and sunny he has issues with goig outside to go to the toilet. He was very easy to toilet train as a pup, and he NEVER goes in the house -...
I would say if you are a good light rider, and she is fit and not very old or young she would probably cope fine. However I would be extra vigilant on things like her saddle fitting. Its quite hard to tell off one photo though. Good luck whatever you decide!
