    MudFever .... Product recommendations ....

I have had great success with the spray from Equitec called Mud Stop. Was recommended by local tackshop as produced locally to us. Spray it on and don't do anything else. Scabs fall off within 2 weeks and reveal pink skin... Recently tested by friend on yard who has tried everything, she was...

    Need your opinions-BIG problem!

My horse was photosensitive and had heightened liver enzymes in her blood, therefore either the liver damage causes the photosensitivity or the st johns wort I guess... I understood it was a combination of the both? At my yard there were also horses who tested fine on their liver, but had had a...

    Liver Damage

Hiya, my horse has been diagnosed with liver damage, but no biopsy as we are quite certain it is something she has eaten (although we are not certain what and have not found anything yet). The biopsy will show if it is tumor/digested/toxins/infection... And then you can medicate...

Mare in season badly at the moment or something else?

Mine is on box rest and soooo in love with the gelding next door.... She has been in season for the last couple of weeks, to the extend that she is kicking out at me when I want to put a rug on or make a fuss - she never has done this in the past... Must be in the air at the moment!!!

I used to live in Chiswick and keep my horse at Snowball Farm (2 indoor schools and an outdoor school). Monthly competitions, other liveries around during the day and at night (important for me as I work). Now moved almost next door www.snowballfarm.co.uk

Is it pointless hoping for a job with horses?

Difficuly decision... For me the certainty of being able to get a job was most important... Chose to go to Uni, got a masters degree and have a well paid corporate job. Now have funds to own and compete my lovely horse, who keeps me sane! Wish I would have not hated by biology teacher as...

    Pregnancy and horses!!

I have friends who have ridden upto the date of birth and were riding again 2 weeks after! This is my hope for next year, when we are hoping to have a baby... If it is not uncomfortable for you and you trust the horse, I would just go for it. Exercise must be good! Good luck!

Hi all, This is my 1st post and I wish I was not writing it. My horse became lame about 9 weeks ago. She had rest for 2 weeks and as there was no improvement, we scanned & xrayed and found damage in the ligament between canon and splint bone just under the knee on the outside (don't know...
