Just wondering if someone could give me a brief timeline on the evolution of the HB505.
Any significant changes that were made etc and an approximate year would be helpful.
For example, Im noticing some have just a front ramp to unload, and others have a top door and ramp. Some seem to...
I've emailed my get for advice. I appreciate I may seem irrational but I've not been able to give the full story. Any longer and I'm sure no one would reply.
My aunts pony struggled with thrush & laminitis, one of the other. Turns out he had cushings - confirmed by the free testing service from TAL (talk about laminitis).
Could this be the case for your boy?
Mine is old and has been allowed to get away with what he likes and he thinks he's a princess. He's just very rude and never seems to learn his lessons !!
Hi,
Just went to have an evening school on my TB. He hasn't got lameness issues before and he's not a wimpy Tb.
I arrive at the yard and he's subdued - not his perky self waiting for me or gorging on the grass. He's stood behind a plastic jump wing away from the gate, back leg cocked ( so he...
Hi,
So as its summer and I don't have a school to school in, I usually just like to hack my pony - he's 13.2hh and nearly too small for me (I'm only 5"2 but still my legs look ridiculous!) but he's coping fine and lives for his hacks, he's also got a lot of NF in him so built nice and strong...
I've been borrowing a liveries (chill, she is family anyway) field paste to prevent my boys persistent thrush. It's called Field Paste but not sure what brand. I was skeptical but it really does work! Has kept both our thrushy ponies thrush at bay and kept his hoof healthy.
Not as scary as my one was a 13.2hh, but I had a similar issue, he managed to ditch me numerous times. I just had to ride through it. It helped having his saddle fitted regular and he seemed to calm down.
I suggest getting someone else that is very experienced with difficult horses to try her...
Hi -
I have a Hi Lite saddle - used as a breaking saddle so my Jeffries wouldn't take a beating. Awful little saddle, as rickety as a bag of bolts. I rode in it a couple of times and I felt horrible!!
I recently (this week) picked up a Walsall dressage saddle secondhand off preloved for £85...
No. I think I'd be dead if my Shetland was 16hh, that would be my worst nightmare!! He's an extreme ******, Houdini and the root of all the issues in the yard !! He's extremely rude - had a poor upbringing and thinks he's a princess and can get away with anything from biting to kicking my knees...
OH MY GOD!!! THANK YOU! You've just given me what I hope is the solution to my TB! He pounds the stable door with his front feet continuously when I leave the stable! I've tried smacking his forearms but he never gets the message!!!! Where do you blast them?
I'm literally in the process of...
Hello!
How exciting OP, well atleast it should be - try not to stress to much.
Regarding your horses needs - I'd advise you spoke to your new YO about your horses needs - I'm sure they will be able to help and possibly provide a solution or offer advice.
As for putting him in the stable...
I have to admit this thread had me in stitches the whole way.
Has the missing boot turned UP yet? Sorry I had to ;)
Just how big is she OP? She's gorgeous. Mine is 16hh with a 14.2hh barrel - all leg with ginormous canons. Full size snug boots are too small for his hind canons! ;) I'm only...
