    Thanks for all that info! I agree about the leaving the hay in the water... no logic in that! unless soaking to reduce dust... then it may work! Am really looking for people who soak just to REDUCE DUST... anyone??

    Pushing on in canter.

    instead of letting him drop back to trot of his own accord try to keep him going long enough that you are the one asking to go back to trot - difficult if he will only canter for 2 seconds i know... start really small and only ask for a few of strides of canter before bringing him back to trot...

    I am moving my horse to a yard in Roxwell next month and know there is really good hacking that you need a hatband to access, does anybody know how i get hold of a hatband and how much they cost??
