I am taking a friends chestnut filly in a forest class at the New Forest Show on wednesday, what am I supposed to wear for an in-hand class, I haven't done one in absolute years!
Thanks in advance!
I ride out a lot, although there is a fair amount of roadwork to be done to get to anywhere nice, so occasionally box to the new forest etc for a nice long ride. Also take the pony and carriage out a few times a week, so yes, lots of going out in comparison to schooling time!
He is currently far too pushy to take anywhere/shows etc, and even leading out inhand is a total battle.
Thankyou for the advice about the groundwork, and making things much more interesting/varied for him, thankyou, the reason he had the winter/6 months off is because he was getting stuffy and...
My friend has a gorgeous 4yo nf, the only issue is that he is so pushy/boulshy!
He has no respect for anything, if you want to get another horse out of the field you have to take a whip with you, and even then he pretty much takes no notice! He got into the feed shed and pretty much...
You shouldn't be hanging about all day, but if you are going in a lorry sometimes there is a lack of space! The indoor is a nice surface, outdoor for warmup as SecretSanta said, and a tiny 'lunging' school which you can go into which is covered which is nice if its peeing it down outside!
I ride a cob for a woman who is semi novice, and he is up for sale because he is only 4..5ish, and is a bit too green for her (hacking etc). She went to look at a Criollo, only imported a week ago, and got on really well with it even thought she is semi-novice, I think there were a few iffy...
I cant wear kids long boots because my legs are tooo muscly round the calves! I think I may have to get ariat kids short boots and gaiters, but I really wanted long boots, beggars cant be choosers!
Hehe don't I know it.. being little is good! I think I am just going to have to go to every saddlery possible and try on everything then get the ones that fit the best altered...hassle! I will let you know if I have any luck, I have been sat here with a tape measure looking up sizing charts for...
That sounds so good, but I don't know if I can realistically afford to get some tailor made. Yes this is my adult height (how depressing, almost 20 and under 5ft tall!) so any boots I get now will be with me until I kill them from overuse!
I have yes, but ideally I want something less chunky and a lot more showy if that makes sense?
I am going to be showing a 12.2 bsp this summer, and slightly chunky boots I think would look out of place on him.
