Hi all,
I'm in the market for some new stirrups.
I currently have ophena stirrups and they're great, but found that I get pins and needles recently on longer rides. I got them because I have wide feet and likenthat my feet would easily release in the event of a fall.
In my research I came...
Lol
Well, i also told myself this, minus the coming into season bit lol.
I said we can get to know eachother over the wet and cold season, and by the time the nicer weather comes around she will have settled and we will have created a bit of trust between us God willing!
Interesting!
The vet that came said to take them off, although I have to say, my instinct is to leave them as well. Is there something I can use to soften them, or help them heal. I do have the cream the vet gave me.
Thank you.

My instructor and friend ho was with me when I got her has been amazing, sadly our yard has locked down and we can't have outside people on the yard nymore otherwise she'd be with me.
She has slowly started to settle in.
I recently purchased a lovely 8 yr old tb x mare.
I have been riding around 7 or 8 years and have done my BHS stage 1.
With all the lockdown madness I went and got my own horse. I had a 5 stage vetting and blood test done.
I knew owning a horse wasn't going to be easy, but I have had an almost...
I initially went with the brush it off once dry ideology, but that clearly didn't work. So I started oiling her up but its already too late in a sense.
I was considering mud boots, but she has mud fever all up her thigh from kicking it up :(
Hi everyone,
My new horse, a grey, has been with me for nearly 3 weeks and she already has terrible mud fever.
Are there any yards within 40 minutes of East London that have non grass turn out available in winter? Must have good hacking.
Or a place that manages their mud really well?
Would be...
