    Hung up on livery…

Yes they have two tie up areas. One for summer and one for winter which has solar powered flood lights and rubber matting. They fence of a schooling area in the summer and have a set of show jumps and also have a field full of cross country jumps. YO is a very active member of the local riding...

    Hung up on livery…

Yes they have plenty of grass. YO said last year they bought in a round bale and about 20 small bales, they only put hay out on snow days and they still have hay leftover from winter.

    Hung up on livery…

I’ve recently moved my 15yo warmblood gelding onto grass livery after having a baby. My previous yard was DIY stable and herd grazing, but horses had to come in every night due to lack of grass. I decided to move him as my income has gone down drastically while on maternity leave and also frees...

    Show Classes for Draft Breed?

I was wondering if anyone knows what ridden classes you can enter a draft breed in? My local shows don't have a heavy horse class, so can I enter a cob class or what would people recommended? Viewed a gorgeous Belgian Draft mare this weekend but no idea what I could do with her! Thanks in advance.

    ROR turnout?

I wasn't sure which he was either - I thought a coloured browband would be nice as he has no facial markings to break up his face but don't want to use one if its wrong! I will stick with the tweed jacket though!

    ROR turnout?

This is my 17.1hh ex racer. I am hoping to get him out and about this summer and maybe enter some ROR classes. I've read up on some other forum posts and understand what is expected in the ring as far as riding is concerned (it's only a local show so the judge won't ride and schedule states they...

    Saddle for big TB?

Subject to vetting, I will be having the biggest TB I have ever seen this week! He is around 17.2 and wider than my ISH, any suggestions of a saddle that would be any good for him? He still has quite high withers but unsure what to go for because of his width!

    Intermittent lameness please help!!!

It's been three weeks since he had the tildren. He was initially shod on all four but I've had the backs taken off - £175 every 5 weeks is alot for a student with a part time job! It's just hard knowing what is best for him right now because everybody has something different to say.

    Intermittent lameness please help!!!

Thanks everyone. The lady I share with is barefoot so I'm going to speak to her podiatrist and see if he has any experience with navicular. He isn't been ridden at the moment so hopefully shouldn't make too much difference to him as he's just chilling in the field. I just want him to be...

    Intermittent lameness please help!!!

He's had a treatment called tildren. This hasn't helped at all. My vet has stated that his x-rays were very bad. I had a look at the Rockley blog, as I said it's hard to go against the advice of my vet and farrier but I am considering it as nothing else has worked yet and I am broke now :(. Vets...

    Intermittent lameness please help!!!

My cousin swears by turmeric. Feeds it to her horse with sarcoids. Think he has two tablespoons a day in his feed as Victoria says, with pepper and oil.

    Intermittent lameness please help!!!

Yeah we discussed that. He said that the more you bump the heel up the more it will break down. My farrier has the xrays I will ask him to forward them to me. The first thing I asked about was going barefoot but vet didn't recommend. He said the most important thing was to sort out his...
