Thanks - i've been to Ingatestone before but didn't really think I got the best service from Roger. Will try Batchelors although i've heard that they only flock/check saddles that you've bought from them, though I could be wrong here..
Thanks for replies!
Hi all

Thanks
Hi all - just wondering if anyone had experience of using these bits? i read somewhere that they help with control issues and i've got a couple of long rides coming up where control could be an issue! I have a TB.
thanks
Hi all - just wondering if anyone can recommend a dressage saddle which is good if you have short legs? Horse is short-backed TB with fairly high withers so one with a cut-back would also be needed..
Thanks!
My saddler came out and said that as my saddle isn't the 'perfect' fit i'm better off having layers of soft padding rather than stuffing the saddle too much so that it sits hard on his back, if that makes sense!

Has anyone who has this had any trouble adjusting it? Would be grateful if anyone has some good instructions etc. on how to fit as the instructions that came with it weren't very detailed.
Thanks!
Hi all. Just wondered whether anyone had used a particularly good-fit numnah for a thoroughbred? I know there are the conform ones out now - has anyone tried these?
Thanks
I was wondering whether anyone could recommend any particular make of dressage saddle which you have found suitable for a thoroughbred? I'm only at prelim level but am considering getting one (second hand leather/possibly even synthetic). Obviously need to take my shape into consideration too...
Thanks for replies!
I use a waterford when i hack out at home for a bit of brakes but don't find it has enough braking power when he gets going!! It's only for fun rides/x-c that i'd be using it so think i'll give the kimblewick a go - the chain is attached loosely right?
