Hi all,
Just going to throw this one out there in the hope of finding something interesting.
About a year ago I acquired a 22year old arabian named G shakib I am aware that he has fairly good breeding as he is by IBN Estopa who I understand is a well respected stud. After googling a name on...
I've been told that the best way to avoid lines is to hot towel the horse immediately after clipping. Seemed to work on my horse, even if it doesn't its good to do anyway to soothe the irritated skin. Hope this helps somewhat :)
yeah I'd love that option however this current yard is the only one that I can walk to as I cant drive :(. I'll just have to bear with pulling all the ragwort by hand
thanks for all the replies,I will speak to the yard owner tonight. I have a lot of electric fencing so thats no problem, however I will have to ask the yard owner for an electrifier of just leave it uncharged :S but i understand that the horses will probably break through...
Hopefully it will...
hi all,
I've been keeping my horses at the same livery yard for just over two years. In this time I've come from being the only livery there to It being totally packed with a long waiting list. There are two main field for the liveries, both of which are split up into paddocks. The front field...

I am going to my first unaffiliated show this sunday, and I was wondering what to expect, what to wear ect?
I will be hacking down to the show ground (because my mare won't go In our trailer). My family should be coming none of whom are horsey, so I'm kind of panicking! It says that the classes...

if you haven't been riding or working your horse in an outline for a while then yes stay in walk at first. Work on flexing to the left and right lots of changes of direction and transitions. Another good way to work on your horses balance is spirals in toward you and then back out these can be...
Hi all,
I was wondering what shows are going on in the Petworth area this summer, as I only have been able to find a couple of clear round events at coombelands and am keen to get out with my horse. :)
A couple of ideas you could try with your gorgeous horsey!
See if you can find yourself a lunging aid like a Pessoa or a john Whitaker training aid. Start very loose only doing walk and maybe a little trot, it will help encourage your horse to stretch his top-line. Gradually when you can see...
