Waiting to be accepted onto a couple of Cheshire Facebook sites. In the meantime I went on an eBay frenzy today, got 20 people watching a set of thermatex wraps I didn't even remember buying! Forgot how addictive eBay was!
About 20 years ago (!) I used to ride out from a farm off the effingham common road (hook farm, it's still there) and we used to be able to hack for about 4 hours in at least 3 different directions. Really was fantastic even though the m25 and a3 are so close it's just an area really well...
DancingKris I'm in Hale too! No horse at the moment but if you want to meet for a coffee ever let me know. I've got a 2 year old son so can talk horses or babies! X
Hi all,
I've not used these forums in years, nice to see them doing well.
I've got a load of horse stuff (rugs, travel boots etc) and wondered if anyone knew the best place to sell stuff second hand? I'll use eBay as a fall back but wondered if there was anything better. I'm in altrincham...
would you travel out as far as Marple? I've got a friend trying to find a sharer (assuming she didn't find someone this weekend) so PM me with your email address and i'll pass it on.
I also wouldn't loan one from Ashton Hall, too many reasons why not!
Hi Diggerbez
i'm the person who almost fence judged with you yesterday, sounded like your fence was way more exciting than the one i ended up at (number 3 - great view of the course and everyone bar one jumped it beautifully). I could have lent you my factor 30 suncream (having been burnt...
Pilates - and don't worry about not fitting in! I started it about 6 months ago and there are all sorts of shapes and sizes & ages there, it's not just for thin people! And whoever asked about it being good for a bad back, yes it can be. That's one of the main reasons I took it up (and because I...
I sold my horse last year (to a dealer, not ideal but unavoidable at the time) and i've love it if a new owner got in touch. I'm desperate to know where she is, but daren't ring the dealer in case anything bad happened. It's a case of sticking my head in the sand, but i'd love to know!
Like Kittykins I did zoology at Uni - I wanted to be a vet but didn't really try hard enough to get in. In hindsight I'm glad i'm not a vet, not sure it would have been for me.
So instead I joined an accountancy firm and qualified as an accountant which I really enjoyed, plus the money's a lot...
My mum collects children's books, especially horsey ones so I carefully re-read them every so often.
I still love Rosina Copper, makes me cry every time!
I re-read all the Jinny ones recently after finding them on ebay - i was prompted by a thread like this one on here a couple of years ago...
