I think it depends on how much stability your horse requires in their mouth - an eggbut is a nice midway between a fulmer and a loose ring and the NS do some smart looking ones which aren't as bulky
I know that the brand and the saddle is right for him but as he is unbroken I can't actually test it out so I wanted to do my research before I bought it
I have bought a horse unseen from a stud, but I knew the bloodlines well and because he was only 2 and therefore he was relatively untouched and unspoiled. I agree with the sentiment that you should only spend as much as you can afford to lose though - especially with a youngster as you are only...
I have a black 3 y/o gelding but he seems to be pulling a lot of red now that his summer coat has come through. Is this lack of colour intensity to do with an imbalance of minerals? I'm not convinced it's sun fading as he was kept in a barn until I bought him as a 2 y/o and even then he had a...
Just bought a rising 3 y/o from a herd and he had never had hard feed in his life and turned his nose up at everything HOWEVER he obsessed with Baileys High Fibre nuggets and he is not a greedy horse at all. They are really chunky so some people use them as treats but I give him a Stubbs Scoop...
He's on a sloppy mix of speedibeet, alfalfa, grassnuts (once the bag has run out he'll come off these), linseed and forageplus balancer so shall I keep him on that then to help get extra liquid in to him?
There is no grass in the field hence why he has to be brought in for a couple of hours, particularly as his a growing boy. The hay doesn't need soaking and is fed ad lib. But other than that he is very healthy and happy. His skin and hooves are looking great, his personality is really coming...
Hello, I am looking for some friendly advice.
I have just bought a rising 3 y/o from a stud. He has spent his life living in a herd of colts - in summer turned out, and in winter in a cow shed. He had never been stabled alone until I bought him.
When I bought him he had to be quarantined in...
Hello, I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience of the Kent & Masters range - good or bad - particularly the S Series or the Anatomical? Looking to get a GP for my unbroken 3 y/o Welshie and I am told that this brand will be the best for him but as he is unbroken, I won't be able to...
I have recently bought a rising 3 year old who has lived in a herd in what is basically a cow shed for all of his life. We think if he ever was turned out it would have only ever been in the summer to keep labour costs down. When we bought him, he had to be quarantined in a stable for a week to...
I've just bought a rising 3 year old who had been kept in a herd all of his life and had had no handling, farrier, dentist or hard feed etc and after putting him on ForagePlus Hoof & Skin Health Winter with a mug of linseed and SpeediBeet I can honestly say his hooves are transforming. The...
